Stuff

Today I came to work at 8:30 and I'm staying until 6-6:30 It is back to school night . Also we had a Esl class this morning.
THey are interesting. I had to do a 20 presentation..went well I suppose.
No students yeah!! But they will be back in full forse tomorrow. Test day...THe nail techs like tests and they are getting really to take the BIG tet so the more they can take the better prepared they will be.

Halloween pictures were cute. Wish I could have gone with yo all....
Trying to get ready for the carpet and THanksgiving....We put the bunk beds back up and turned the closet into shelves and storage. I think it will be a good thing.

I thinkin the carpet won't be in until before Christmas but thats probley all for the better.

I have a couple of trips down to St George and then on the Weds after Thanksgiving I leave for a convention in Atlanta Georgia....fun. fartherest east I've been
New Orleans was fun...Im going to hang out with Rheadeans daughter.,Realane......she is just divorced so it should be an experience.....

It is nice today but is not supposed to stay that way. Snow maybe to go down to ST GEorge. Just by Beaver if any....

WE ARE TRYING AGAIN

Chad and Anissa are here and we are going to try to roof the abode again. Last time it rained us out. My students yelled at me for calling the trailor the trailor. Tonya decided the "abode" would be good.
It is a little wet outside still but, I think it will warm up and then we can get it done, I took the day off because we were going to Park City to the condo. Now we will do the roof first and then
go up.
Anissa actually wants to go to UEA conference. How odd!!! she is such a teacher.
I will go with her and then take Anje places.
Park City should still have the colorful leaves. No snow this year that will be strange. Usually we have leaves the first weekend and then lots of snow the second.

We'll be checking out the web for things to do in Park City. WE always just miss all the parades and hot air ballons. and they close the pools , so not so exciting. and the slide is also closed.
The secretary convention was MOnday and Tuesday. Linda didn't think that she could use the condo and take Terry...She maybe didn''t want to take him.
hopefully thngs will go smoothly on the roof. MOm got her carpet yesterday and it looks really good. which means I have to get mine in soon, its taking all her garage space. BEsides I don't want it just laying in the garage and getting ruined.
I could use help moving furniture out on the days he is here. If it is the weekend. otherwise Im on my own I guess....I can do it, I can do it......Love you all let you kow how it goes. The sun is up and maybe the trailor (abode) will get done. Chad said we are doing it , no matter what.
So I guess sere doing it....but it should be a good day. Unless I fall off the abode or something.

FUN AND BUSY WEEK

Today was a fun day, Tonya and Taylor came up for a over night trip. We did hair and did crafts went to Delta and just had fun. Thanks for all your help on the crafts.
Anissa was here last weekend and helped me paint the trailor and did lots of stuff. Thank you to her....Chad was here Wed. to do the roof but it looked like rain so we had to put it off until this weds. Its not supposed to rain. We will see.

ALL IS WELL

.The weather is improving and I am hoping to get painting on the trailer soon.... tomorrow I will
cut the trees down that grew back after we cut the tree down....and then I will start to paint. Hopefully I will get it done before it snows and rains again. I had to go up on the roof and put some waterproofing on the spots that were leaking. Chad is going to roof but it was raining so heavy that I thought I should at least do that. I thought maybe the ceiling in the middle bedroom would be falling in. But yes Chad , sorry the roof awaits you. Just let me know before it rains again hopefully. First Monday in Oct would be good......
Great got her carpet ordereed and measured and is on the way. She does need help in ripping out the kitchen floor when she gets that far. Keep it in mind please everyone. shes thinking if she could have help the dining
room and kitchen could be done in wood laminate planks. I think we could all do it if we work together..Let me or her know if you can....It would save her lots of moolaa.......
Winter is coming too fast.....but that means Thanksgiving and Christmas . As usual you are all invited to both. Thanksgiving is alway fun with more the merrier...
Christmas too.....but everyone seems to have that all sewn up ....everyyear.

LAST DAY OF AUGUST

This month has been a very long month for me...I'm not sure why exactly but I'm thinkin I'm glad it is over.
It is labor day weekend and it is the first 3 day weekend I have had all by myself. I may have to go and do something fun.
I really have to finish mowing the lawns , the lawn mower keeps breaking the four wheeler was broken and the big old mower, was working and then I ran over a brick and broke something on that, now it won't start either. Dad has been out fixing thing but he has a really hard time . He falls and stumbles all the time because his legs just give out on him and he gets very dizzy.
I still have the lawns and weeds and my roof was leaking so I have to get on the roof and fix the leaks. I'm not looking forward to all this MANual labor, although I know I can do it doesn't mean I want to....but if I don't .....you know the rest.
For you people that don't know. I had another skunk under the trailor this weekend. Friday night after coming home from Richfield I could smell skunk in my bedroom......Fear....I went to bed got up and went out to see how the skunk could have gotten in. Well the skunl had pulled the corner of the skirting away and had gotten in that way. So as I was looking I looked through the cat screen (you know the one way door made for the cats) and there laying right in back of it was black and white striped animal. Looked like he was sleeping, I quietly went back in the house trying to call people for traps and to ask for help. You all know what happened last time I had skunks....anyway after a couple of hours I snuck back to see if I could see him again and he was still in the same place....Jac came up and bet me he was dead...after many looks and face to face with him.....
Jac decided I was stressed so we went up the canyon and had a picnic and when we came back I was convinced he was dead....almost.
Bryant Stephenson came to bring me some traps and had talked to Dad so he wanted to see the skunk. By that time the skunk was smelly,so we were really sure he was dead so we took off the siding and Bryant got him out.and took him to the dump. Thank goodness for friends and neighbors. The rest of the story is Cheryl Wood told me that moth balls would keep skunks away so I bought some and placed them all along the side of the trailor....next day I gathered them up....They smell worse than the dead skunk and I am not kidding.....and you can smell them for miles . Its been three days since I picked them up and I still have to keep my window closed because of the after smell.... It is getting better though. I said something to Mom and she said yea, we used to get our winter clothes out and the smell would stay all winter....I can't inagine that you could stand to smell it let alone wear it around. I would be clotheless.......

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME

Thank you all for for calls and presents....It makes me feels very blessed as a Mother. I think I really do have the best family around.
Especially in these uncertain times in my life. I really do appreciate all you all do for me.
Its nice to know that all I have to do is ask.

TIME TO BLOG

Well, I've finished a tint and a haircut. Mowed the lawn and sprayed the wasps. Four big nests on the front porch. Washed some clothes so I can go down and see Taylor win all the swim meet, Thurs. . She is so good at swimming , but she has to qualify for three of her events.
When I got home from vacation the back lawn water was on. I guess I left it on for the 6 days of vacation. It is going to cost me a fortune, it will take me all winter to pay off my water bill. and the front and all the plants in the front were totally dead. After all my efforts to have a nice yard. Now I am depressed and really not caring about the yard at all....I really wanted the fence and all moved back but now, who cares.. I can't even water the dead lawn in the front because of the cost of water. Oh well, So much for my plans. I guess I shouldn't get so frustrated because I can't do it myself. So Ill tell myself so what. I'll just do a little at a time.
This is my problem.
Maybe Ill book Mesquite again. The trouble with that is it is so HOT. I should go North....
I really want to see Taylor swim ....... and Win
It is sounding like rain.....but all we are getting is fires...At night the smoke is really bad.
There is a fire in Oak City , Flowell, Kanosh, Cove Fort, as well as all the others around the state. Oh , and one started yesterday in Scipio..... Just waiting for ours..Well, we did have one on the freeway. But they got it out very quickly.
THe beach was fun, really does make me wonder why I live in a place that I am shoving snow and then can't even water the lawn, because of one little mistake.......Hahahahah

Well, my rambling is over .....I just keep the good thought that Shaylie is coming next week to stay in Holden. and all the family except Mike and Erin are coming for the 24th.....Utah holiday is why......Mike said they would try to come some time so I can hardly wait.....I'll have to think how I can make it down there too. We are planning for the graduations for sure....Whenever they are for sure.........It won't matter , I will be there. ''
I am proud of both of them. Mike has been doing great. Erin is too busy, but she will be able to relax a bit when she has her masters....if she will maybe :)..more money...yeah....
I'm a little nervous about Mike and the club but he assures me its fine.....

BACK FROM VACATION

Well, vacation was terrific everything was great.
Anje saw the ocean and was in awe of it all.
We saw San Diego Sea World, the Zoo and the beach. We all had fun.
'Glad to be back. I need to sleep for about a year and I'll be fine

ALMOST TIME FOR CALIFORNIA

Well, the time is coming fast. I'm thinking maybe Seaworld would be a better option. The Zoo animals you can see anytime but whales and dolphins not so much......I'll convince the rest.
Took MOm and Dad to home depot found a good deal on carpet with install and pad included.
It will be nice carpet.
It has been raining for days now and still is....wish I had popcorn, hot choc. would be a little much since it is still hot .......
It was really good having 3 of my children and families home. Wish Mike could get home more often , he is doing really well in school and can't miss any. It will be good when he and Erin can frind time to come home.
Over the 24th weekend I am hoping we can move the fence back to the back property line.
It will be easier to use the posts already in like Dad did on the side.
Dads legs today are very bad. He fell off the porch on the 4th. scared us all to death, but then he played horseshoes with us and did very well. Wish we knew why they are going down hill.
I need to get him on the tread mill.everyday.

LEAVING HOLDEN

I get to leave Holden for a couple of days yeah! I'm going to St. George.
All the yard work took longer than I thought. I'm no spring chicken any more I've decided. Yesterday we worked all the day and today my foot will not work. It is the one with the extra bone that is stuck in the tendon. So at least I no why it is not letting me walk. I need to go down and see Taylor swim, haven't done that yet. Then on the 9th of JUly we are heading out for the ocean. San Diego here we come and then we will be back for Tonya's Birthday and Taylors swim meet.
Trying to get Anissa up and going for the day. She thinks she was picked on because I got her up at 6:00 am. to take out the trees and stuff we cut yesterday. Ken said he would open the dump for us so we woke the girls and had to haul garbage at 6:00.
I'll mow lawns on Friday and we will be set for the visits of Pam and then Cheryl about Dads birthday. We are thinking we will celebrating his birthday on the 4th -to the 10th.......Chad has his reunionin Fillmore on the 3rd. Anissa is bringing Bella up on Sat....Love to all Mom

PATIO IS DONE (as much as it is getting)

Well, the patio is finished. We (I) did do a boo boo though. The last patio I mortared after we were finished to keep out the weeds. This time Anissa brought back cement mix....We'll I didn't think it would make a difference, but it did. It sort of colored the blocks. It makes them look older so we'll just think of it as a older patio. Live and learn at least it is useable....I'm sure the cement will wear off soon.
I have never had the yard take so long to clean up.....Just today I was out at 6:30 drained the ponds, shoveled dirt out so I can replace the wall of the pond (it is falling) ok Dad was right the winter is hard on brick walls and they do have to be cemented or rebarred. It is going to be put back straight. Then I filled in the other pond by the patio , taking it out so the wasps will find some other place to play. Then weeded by the faucet.cleaned up the patio stuff and watered. Then came inside and made Anjes 1/2 year birthday cake. Well the yard still needs help...but is getting better. My goal is the 2nd of July having most of it done......
Chad is coming for his reunion (10 year)....Anissa will be here and Aunt Pam is coming with Adam. I talked to Mike and Erin and they are trying and I'm hoping Scott and Tonya are coming ,, but Scott likes the fireworks in St. George.....So we will see.....
Shay is coming for a week soon, and that will be fun....Hopefully Chad will bring Bella . Well just rambling now.....Love you all. Hope you read the blog....Mom

PATIO IS DONE (as much as it is getting)

FATHERS DAY

Well Happy Fathers Day to all the fathers in our family. Papa didn't go to Sac. so Anje was very sad, when she had to sing and no one was there to hear her.
Then after dinner Dad was complaining about his chest stil hurting so we took him over to ER . They gave him oxygen and he's breathing better.
Now I'm home and the girls are asleep.
It is only 7:00 p.m.. Guest I bettered wake them up....Love you all.Mom

Thanks for commenting on my new blog.... yes thanks to Chad for getting me up and Running on my laptop. We did have good times it was really good to have you home with your daughter. You'll have to make it a habit. Thanks for trying to fit the blocks too.....too bad we had so many pieces after the try......HAHAHa
Anissa is getting more block and Dad said he had a saw , so maybe I can fit them....
I took the rounded side of the patio and made it straight and Great suggested I add the other 12 inches on the other side of the patio so I am going to dig closer to the tree and add there. It will be fine and I'm really tired of it....so it will be done.
I had a really good time camping out too. It was fun to have the family there.....Its late and I am just babbling so comment soon ...Love you all

BACK AGAIN, GOOD AS NEW

Well, who knew it was Jan. I last posted. So long that I forgot all my info on how to get on the blog.
Oh well good to have a new refreshed one.
Chad is here, it seems good to have him and Bella back in the house.
We tried to pull the stump of the tree I and Anissa cut down but it is still too deep. Ill hire some kids to dig the roots and then see what happens.
We all had fun at Lagoon. Missed Mike and Erin though. Wish they had more time to come up....I'll have to go down again soon.
Well, not much going on.....I have to cut the patio blocks so they fit, to finish the patio. I'll be so glad when its done. Well I will try to blog later if I remember all the code. Love yo all. Mom
